We were using AI for income before it was a trend
Fahawa AI Lab was incorporated in Toronto in July 2021 — about eighteen months before the mainstream AI moment hit. The founding team had already spent a year experimenting with early AI tools for freelance work: writing, research, simple automation, design mockups. Nothing earth-shattering. Just practical work, done faster and more efficiently.
When the mainstream started catching up in late 2022 and into 2023, the same question kept coming in from friends, former colleagues, and people in the team's networks: "Okay, but how do you actually use this to make money?" Not "what is AI?" — people had gotten past that. The harder question was how to turn a general understanding of AI tools into actual income. That question is what this course tries to answer.
We're not a venture-backed ed-tech company. We're three people in Toronto who built something useful out of what we'd learned through direct experience. The course content reflects that: practical, specific, honest about limitations.
Three people, no fake credentials
We don't list invented doctorate degrees or made-up awards. Here's who actually works on this.
Daniel Mensah
Co-founder & Course Lead
Built the original AI workflow system used for freelance writing and research work. Designed the course curriculum and writes most of the module content.
Sofia Araujo
Co-founder & Operations
Manages platform operations, student support, and the bonus resource library. Worked in digital marketing before focusing on AI tools and automation workflows.
Ryan Kowalczyk
Technical Lead
Handles the automation and no-code content modules, and maintains the platform. Background in small business operations before transitioning to AI tools work.
A few things we're deliberate about
Transparency about limitations
AI tools have real constraints. They produce errors, go out of date, and don't work well for everyone. We say so, plainly, rather than overselling.
No income guarantees
We explicitly do not guarantee any income outcome. Results depend on the individual. We publish a full income disclaimer and include it on every relevant page.
Real support response times
We commit to responding to support emails within 1–2 business days, EST. We don't use chatbots for support. If you have a question, a person reads it and replies.
PIPEDA-compliant data handling
We operate under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA). We don't sell personal data. We collect only what we need for course access and support. Read our PIPEDA notice.
