About PIPEDA

The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) is Canada's federal private-sector privacy law. It governs how private-sector organizations collect, use, and disclose personal information in the course of commercial activities.

FAHAWA TECHNOLOGIES INC., operating as Fahawa AI Lab, complies with PIPEDA in all collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.

Ten Principles of PIPEDA and Our Practices

1. Accountability: We have designated a Privacy Officer responsible for compliance with PIPEDA. Contact: [email protected].

2. Identifying Purposes: We identify why we collect personal information before or at the time of collection. We collect name, email, and purchase information to provide course access and respond to support inquiries.

3. Consent: We obtain your consent before or at the time of collecting personal information, with limited exceptions permitted by law. Our contact form requires explicit consent for data processing. Our cookie consent banner provides granular control over non-essential cookies.

4. Limiting Collection: We collect only the information necessary for identified purposes. We do not collect information "just in case."

5. Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention: We use personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected. We retain information only as long as necessary, then securely delete it.

6. Accuracy: We maintain personal information as accurate, complete, and up-to-date as necessary. You may request correction of inaccurate information at any time.

7. Safeguards: We protect personal information with security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. This includes secure transmission (HTTPS), restricted access, and confidentiality agreements with service providers.

8. Openness: We make our privacy practices available through this notice and our Privacy Policy. Our practices are written in plain language.

9. Individual Access: You have the right to request access to your personal information held by us, and to challenge the accuracy of that information. Contact us at [email protected] to make a request. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Challenging Compliance: You have the right to challenge our compliance with PIPEDA by contacting our Privacy Officer at [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada: priv.gc.ca, 1-800-282-1376.

Cross-Border Data Transfers

We use third-party service providers (including payment processors and course hosting platforms) that may store or process data outside Canada. Where this occurs, we ensure contractual protections are in place and that service providers handle data in a manner consistent with PIPEDA.
